Music Crazy

Ever since I got my iPod nano for Christmas, I have been obsessed with music! Rediscovering old CD's, and obtaining new ones to add to my iPod library has been my main obsession for the past several weeks. Today I was extremely lucky to find all the music ever to be featured in Revolutionary Girl Utena (series, movie, and even live action musical)! Let's just say, I have been saving a lot of files... But it's worth it, because it's music I love from my favorite anime series ever!

I've also found an entire site dedicated to foreign music, such as that now famous Romanian pop group O-Zone (Numa Numa song, anyone?)! I love foreign stuff, it's so interesting to hear and it's fun to make up translations for the songs, and butchering the language as I try and sing along (although, I must say my Romanian is quite good)!

Music has been a big influence on my life, and I'm glad this iPod is allowing me to further my music knowledge... That, and I'm a sucker to finding free stuff!

Science Fair, Oh joy

For some time now I have been working on a Science Fair project to get out of taking my Marine Bio midterm exam. And now, that thought of "science fair is coming up, I should probably start working" has become a reality. I've burned my fingers with hot glue, slaved over spaghetti, and had to lift heavy objects for this thing. But now it is all down to the formal typing up stuff and then it will be done!! YAY!

Dedicated Fangirl

You know you're a fangirl when you decide to bake a cake for a fictional character's birthday... My friend Kaiti and I have spent the last five, yes you read right, five hours working on a masterpiece of a cake to celebrate the Harry Potter character Severus Snape's birthday tomorrow. Crazy? Yes. We planned for a week on how we would make a cake in the shape of the Dark Mark (for those non-Harry Potter fans, it's a skull with a snake coming out of the mouth) Today was the actually baking day. We made the cake two flavors, the skull part was chocolate and the snake was vanilla. And we made the frosting green and black. It has got to be one of the coolest cakes ever in existance. We plan to send the pictures we took to Mugglenet.com (one of the biggest Harry Potter fan sites on the web) and hope to have them posted. We are also hoping that J.K. Rowling herself see the pictures because that would be really cool!

What can I say? I'm a dedicated fangirl!
